With respect to liberals, and keep in mind I have some experience with them, they profess a committment to diversity, provided you define it as a group of people who all look different but think exactly the same way. So there shouldn't be much surprise in the reaction- Of course, these are the same folks who have the obligatory "Hate is not a family value" bumper sticker on the back of the rusty Subaru. You can find it right next to the "Kill Bush" sticker. Beautifully written and well articulated.
