I prefer to bow hunt coyotes so cover of some type is mandatory. Sometimes you need to find a spot and set up quick before you scare everything out of the area even if it is not the best location.

I think the call sounded too much like a mature dog with some seniority to it. I prefer a screachy kiss sound.

Yeah Matt – that was a pretty bad bark imitation.

There are oh so many reasons that coyote hit the gas. The thing is, that bad bark has paid dividends in the past. Who knows…

I think Kent is right about the trespassing coyote. The way the coyote drops his tail and runs, is similar to catching a teenager stealing gas out of your pickup. The reactions are darn near the same.

You have got to stop watching Scooby Doo! Possibly the worst bark I’ve heard in 20 years……as a side note, I’ve never heard a good one. That was great! Wish I could’ve been there.
I would have been rolling around on the ground laughing and there would’ve been no doubt why that coyote was running.

Theory #2. This time of the year coyotes are especially territorial. This dog might have been trespassing.
