Danny Batastini – Welcome to Wildlife Callers’ Blog

Mr. Batastini has agreed to share nearly fifty years of predator calling wisdom with our readers.

Danny Batastini started calling coyotes and other predators 1964. Since that time he has called many thousands of predators and was a consistent predator calling contest winner in California and the western U.S.  Here are a few of his noted accomplishments in this sport:

  • 1975 – Joined the California State Varmint Callers’ Association (CSVCA) and was a member for 25 years. He served on the board of directors and as the Acting President, Vice President, as well as the State Hunt Chairman.
  • Life member of the Southern California Varmint Callers Association
  • Founder, past President, and Life Member of High Desert Chapter #18 of the CSVCA
  • Founder, past President, and Life Member of the New Mexico Predator Callers Association
  • Founder of the Predator Hunting Museum – currently held and managed by FoxPro

Danny brings a lifetime of knowledge to this sport and we’re honored to share his tips, tricks, ethics, humor, thoughts, and wisdom with new and experienced callers from all over the world. He’s truly one of the world’s best wildlife callers.

I was advised that Danny is battling cancer, and it is a fight that he’s not likely going to win. Danny might not be with the wildlife calling community much longer and it’s very important that we give him this forum to blog on. Volumes of information would die with this calling expert if he wasn’t willing to write it all down and post it here and on the Predator Professionals forum.

We’ll get his work posted on our blog as it becomes available. For additional musings and memories written by Danny, please go to http://predatorprofessionals.com and look in his special section in the forums.

Danny – we appreciate all that you’re doing.

Best regards,

Mark Healy
